This is our staple Family Conference. It is always a blast with fabulous fellowship and terrific teaching… not to mention marvelous munchies. This is the 10th anniversary of the Family Conference at MRCC. The very first one, back in 1998, was organized and co-lead by Rev. Lacy Andrews. The other co-leader was Rev. Dick Ellis. Well, 10 years later we are bringing them back! A lot has changed since that time… one cleared field, one main lodge with kitchen and bathrooms, three winter cabins, four summer cabins, a firing range, a fire pit, a play ground, … but the good times have not. If you were with us for that very first Family Conference, or if you want to make this one your very first Family Conference, please register early. We expect this conference to reach capacity.
Outline of the Conference teachings (subject to change):
Rev. Andrews will discuss "The Church and The Family." Here is an outline of what he will cover:
Sermon 1: "The Glorious Body of Christ" from Psalm 87
Central theme: It is the Church of Jesus Christ that is the focal point of God's redemptive plan. We, then, seek to offer a corrective to a hyper-covenantalism that emphasizes family over church, while properly honoring the place of family.
Bible Studies 1 & 2: "A Walk Through the Songs of Ascents"
Theme: Gleanings from Psalms 120-134 for both church and family
Sermon 2: "A Call to Worship" from Psalm 148
Central Theme: Building the sense that all of creation owes praise to God, the Creator and that the church in particular owes praise to God, the Redeemer. We as individuals and as families are involved in something far bigger than we are.
Rev. Ellis will discuss " Evangelism and Prayer, with some highlighting of hospitality. "

Conference fees:
Registration fees, includes all meals:
$100 per adult (over 18yo)
$20 each for the first three (3) kids in family, all others are free
Lodging fees:
$30 – Shared Cabin (half of a 12-bed, bunkhouse cabin)
$90 – Private Cabin (an entire 12-bed, bunkhouse cabin)
$5 – Bring you own tent and set it up where you like
