Please note that this event will take place during the first weekend in
August, 8/3-5. Please make a note of it and make all you know who may be
interested in this event aware of the correct date.
Here are the current structural plans for this event:
- Friday
- Arrive for light dinner
- Opening worship service lead by OPC Pastor Scott Willet
- Fun activity (perhaps flash-light tag) will follow.
- Saturday
- 2 lectures from Elder Bob Easterling, Esq., in the morning
- Segregated swimming events
- Special manly and womanly activities taking place while each group is not swimming:
- Sunday
- School lead by chemistry prof. Elder Tappey Jones
- Worship will be lead by OPC Pastor Pete Stazen
- Lunch and an end of conference competition
- clean up
- go home

Outline: By the power of the Holy Spirit, you must live as witnesses... In Jerusalem (you, inside): OPC Rev. Scott Willet - Friday night worship (sermon on Autonomy)
In all Judea (you and the church/believing neighbors): OPC Rev. Pete Stazen - Sunday morning worship (sermon on “Virtue is the Will of God” from Prov. 6:20-35)
Samaria and to the end of the earth (you and your unbelieving neighbors and world):
OPC Elder Bob Easterling - Living as Christian witnesses in this fallen world.
OPC Elder Tappey Jones - Christian and Pagan views of science.
Breakout, hands-on sessions:
Guys time - OPC Pastor Chip Hammond and Deacon Paul Goze - Resisting evil and over coming it with good, lecture and hands-on training
Gals time - Pastor's wife, mother, and woman-of-faith Susan Stazen - Modesty and Service, discussion and service project.
Also, there may be other OPC Elders, Deacons, and Christian men & women to instruct and oversee.
The cost for youth, 13-18, attending this conference will be $50 each.
We are still in need of helpers with food and to come as chaperons ($25 to cover food). If you have any interest or know of anyone who may, please let them and me know!
