Topic:
Samson: Single Challenges Of a Promised Son
Beginning in Judges 13, we'll explore the life of Samson, Israel's
judge from the tribe of Dan. Set apart to the Lord from the womb, his special
birth was announced by the Lord Himself. As a promised son, Samson truly honored his parents. As
a single man, he worked boldly for the Lord and His people. But his bad choice of Delilah as his wife
ultimately cost him his life. Samson died for his people as boldly as he lived for them, and he serves us as
a true profile in Christian courage who, despite his flaws, is honored
in the Hebrews 11 Hall of Faith.
