Young Adult Worldview Conference

June 11-13, 2010

Additional Information for and about the Conference

The purpose of the conference is to provide training for OPC young people on the implications of a Biblical world view. The conference is designed for students those who are approximately college age (17-22 age range), and the enrollment is designed to be small (15-25 participants).

Pastors and elders are encouraged to attend with young people from their churches to provide discipleship and supervision. The conference will begin on Thursday evening and will conclude on Saturday after lunch – although people are welcome to stay through the remainder of the weekend, but the organizer needs to know in advance.

The book “Christianity and Liberalism” by Machen will be available for purchase at the conference, though it is highly recommended that the book be read before arriving at the conference.

There will be handouts and a study book will be provided for the portion concerning the "Benefits of Presbyterianism"

The segment on "Using Movies in Evangelism" will involve watching parts or all of a movie. This is for the purpose of discussing the movies and providing examples of actually using a movie as a evengelistic tool.

Adults willing, and desiring to come need to contact the organizer, Tappey Jones <jonesth@vmi.edu>.
